Now don't get me wrong, I loved "Freddy VS Jason". But what's the point of having a fight to the death between to beings that can't die? even you like it or not..they will rise again and again...what do you think is the only one way to settle this?....And in my opinion it wouldn't make sense to do a sequel to Freddy vs Jason at this point with there being remakes to each of them. That would mean going back to the continuity of the first six Elm Street and first nine Fridays. As far as I'm concerned, those storylines were concluded as soon as they announced the remakes, so you can thank good old stagnant Hollywood for ruining this opportunity.

I concur. It's just fine as a stand-alone film. I don't think it needs a sequel or a remake regardless of what "they" do with the original franchises. I think "good old stagnant Hollywood" (LOVE that, btw) needs to back off the remakes and do something somewhat, quasi-original. So what if a franchise is 20-years or more old? Re-release it. Give the fans some decent bonus features. Don't do some hack-job remake to fill-fuckin'-seats out of some misplaced, imagined sense of potential curiosity.

It's so annoying, how Hollywood has lost it's respect for the original work of a creative director/writer/production all for the sake of the Holy-Grail-Bottom-Line. It fills seats or it's a flop. Aggravating.

Honestly, if they took the time to really think this out... I am sure that a Freddy vs. Jason movie would have been way more better.
